Are you a high school female soccer star aspiring to play soccer for the Catholic University of America? If so, then this blog is the place for you! My name is Alexa Povelaitis and I am a rising senior on the CUA women’s soccer team. Playing college soccer for a school that I love has always been my dream. When I first found CUA, I fell in love immediately with the campus and the atmosphere, and from that day on, I had a dire need to play soccer for the school. Once I arrived at the university on day one of preseason, I knew I was in for a rude awakening. There are so many things that I know now about college soccer that I wish I knew then during the recruiting process. My blog will expand on all of the “ins and outs” of CUA women’s soccer: food and nutrition, strength training, speed and agility training, soccer technical skills training and necessary equipment needed to play the game. My goal is to provide YOU (prospective CUA soccer star) with all of the necessary information that you will need to play soccer for the Catholic University of America. Enjoy!
